The meeting place for CMH Coaching for Life.
Safe Haven offers coaching classes focused on physical, spiritual, and emotional health. That means healthy thoughts, food, grown-ups, kids, and families. We also have an in-house, inspired photographer to record those special family experiences. For physical health: learn easy, whole foods cooking from the garden, how to use homeopathy, herbs, and other things that make life feel more prepared and independent. For mental/spiritual health: learn recovery from trauma and loss, coping with anxiety and stress, achieving your goals, and many other things to make life easier and more satisfying.
When we’re not teaching classes, recording memories, and helping others build a great life, we rent our beautiful space. You can use it to host your next event.

Classes from CMH Coaching for Life
Live classes are held regularly, so check our calendar to see what’s happening. Our Third Thursday Evening Mentoring Class is especially popular. It’s great for learning essential family skills and soothing the hard working parent or grandparent’s heart. 🙂

Weddings & Events
Safe Haven Retreat is an affordable venue with wide open spaces. Bring your friends and family and celebrate together here, just outside of Honey Grove, Texas. Did you know Honey Grove was named by Davy Crockett because of all the honey bee trees? It’s a magical place.
The retreat boasts a lovely indoor gathering space with a beautiful island kitchen, as well an outdoor pavillion and seating. It’s a great space for hosting any gathering.

Our Beehive Room has a gorgeous front porch, a set of bunk beds and a comfy king bed. We have a nice kitchen and bath in there too. It’s a homey place with full access to roam and enjoy the great outdoors.
The retreat itself has two bedrooms and a beautiful new bathroom with a deep soaking tub. There are pictures below in the gallery, of The Beehive Room, and soon we will add images of The Scout Camp and The Retreat. More are coming!
We are a Mom-and-Pop operation who will treat you like family. If you like peace and quiet, an evening around the campfire and a place to rest and restore,
we’re for you.

Whether you like to boat at Bois D’arc lake, hunt antiques, hike, camp, or sit on the porch and nap, we’ve got you covered. If you’re like me, there’s great wifi and air conditioning inside in the summer, and a lovely fireplace for winter retreats.
We offer two beautiful Air BnB/VRBO rentals, and a lovely RV site out back. There’s primitive camping in the woods too.
When our boys were in Scouting, the troop built a great primitive camping area in the woods. We used it for summer camps. Now you can enjoy the benefits of Scouts learning to build fires, set up tents, and make fire pit cobblers. Experience the peace of nature in our ‘Scout Camp’ tent campsites.

Got kids?
We built this place for our own grandkids. Enjoy hunting for hidden swings, jumping on the trampolines, or running down the hills. There is so much for a child to explore!

Weddings & Family Time
Seth, our 5th son (we have 6 sons and 3 daughters) is getting married on October 19th. It will be our inaugural event on the farm. Let us celebrate your special event with you too! Submit your dates and needs in the question form below. Aubrey Sampson, the Wedding Doula, will meet all of your needs and provide incredible photos of your experience. We’ll post her work from Seth & Chloe’s wedding soon!
